Organic waste recycling is subject to strict regulatory control from the Environment Agency – recycling to land is not allowed without an EA permit. N-Virocycle has built its reputation by applying rigorous controls at every stage from collection to application – sufficient to merit the award of ISO9001 status.
The material that is collected from different manufacturers is regularly analysed by an independent laboratory to ensure it conforms to the nutritional profiles that the Company maintains.
It is only ever hauled in the Company’s own fleet of modern, Tracker-equipped tanker vehicles, designed specifically to carry food by products. This eliminates the risk of cross contamination by non-food materials, which might result from third party haulage. N-Virocycle’s accreditation processes are not unlike the TASCC Code of Practice for combinable crops.
Field application is only ever carried out by the Company’s own operators using a specially designed umbilical system and with careful reference to both the volumes and types of material applied – as they are being applied. This means that everything is totally traceable, which has long term value in ensuring that applications are correctly balanced to suit the nutrient requirements of the soil.
