Complying with the Regulations
N-Virocycle Ltd is a specialist in the transportation and recycling of organic by-products to agricultural land. All aspects of our operation have to comply with the recently amended Waste Management Licensing Regulations, which is administered by the Environment Agency. Below is a summary of these requirements:
- Complies with Paragraph 7 of Schedule 3 of Enviromenttal Regulations (England & Wales) 2007
- Details of land and by-product materials used by the N-Virocycle operation have been sent to and officially registered with the Environment Agency
- These details are provided at least 35 days in advance of any activity on the land
- Comprehensive and routine chemical analysis is undertaken on samples of the by-product materials collected from our industry clients
- Every field used by N-Virocycle is evaluated and recommendations provided that gives agricultural benefit, whilst protecting the environment
- Comprehensive desktop searches for environmentally sensitive features on up to 1km from the agricultural land is undertaken using government based information systems
- Site specific pollution and environmental risk assessments (source > pathway > receptor) are completed on all proposed land for use by N-Virocycle
- A certificate of agricultural benefit and protection of the environment is now provided by an appropriate and recognised technically skilled person within N-Virocycle – this information is declared to the Environment Agency
- Records on type, quantity and date of the activity are kept for every field used by N-Virocycle
